In late December, the president signed the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023 (P.L. 117-328). Division L provides fiscal year (FY) 2023 funding for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Division N of the omnibus, the Disaster Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2023, appropriated additional funds for selected programs. This brief summarizes funding and other provisions of interest to states in the legislation, the accompanying explanatory statement, and the House Report it references.
