FY 2023 Enacted Budget: Education

The fiscal year (FY) 2023 federal budget process concluded with enactment of an omnibus appropriations bill in late December (P.L. 117-328). This brief highlights education appropriations in the bill and compares them to FY 2022 appropriations. In addition to the appropriations bill itself, this brief incorporates directives in the accompanying explanatory statement, as well as relevant provisions in the House committee report (which must be complied with unless specifically addressed to the contrary).
