FY 2022 Enacted Budget: Interior, Environment, National Endowments

Fiscal year (FY) 2022 appropriations for Interior-Environment were signed into law March 15 (P.L. 117-103). This brief summarizes funding and other provisions in the bill and the explanatory statement related to the Department of the Interior (DOI), the Forest Service, and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). It also covers the National Endowments for the Arts and Humanities (NEA and NEH). The explanatory statement specifies that provisions included in House Report 117-83 should be complied with unless expressly stated otherwise.

Of note, this brief covers relevant funding in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). Certain programs covered in this brief received funding for earmarked projects, as indicated in the tables throughout.
