The ARP: Initial State Allocations, Estimates
NOTE: All figures in this brief have been integrated into or superceded by the FFIS state allocations spreadsheet, available here.
The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARP) was signed into law on March 11. It is the sixth COVID-19 relief bill and provides about $1.9 trillion in federal spending. A spreadsheet that accompanies this brief provides initial state estimates for several grant programs. A forthcoming Budget Brief will summarize provisions of interest to states.
