FY 2021 Enacted Budget: Education

The fiscal year (FY) 2021 budget process concluded on December 27, 2020, with enactment of an omnibus appropriations bill (P.L. 116-260), which included COVID-19 funding and a host of other legislation.

This brief highlights FY 2021 education appropriations in the bill; it does not address COVID-19-related provisions, which were addressed in Budget Brief 20-25. Companion briefs will summarize labor, health, and human services. In addition to the appropriations bill itself, this brief summarizes provisions in the explanatory statement, including provisions from the House committee report adopted therein.
