Fifth COVID-19 Relief Bill Enacted
After a several-day delay, the president signed H.R. 133 on December 27. The package includes about $900 billion in additional COVID-19 relief, a year-end omnibus appropriations package, and a variety of other legislation.
This brief focuses solely on selected COVID-19 relief provisions in the bill. These include direct payments to individuals, unemployment benefits, funding for businesses, schools, rental assistance, vaccines and testing, human services, transportation, agriculture and nutrition, and broadband.
