Summary
The VIP Series focuses on federal grant-in-aid programs in the FFIS database that are most important to states. This edition provides state-by-state estimates based on final appropriations for fiscal year (FY) 2019. An abridged edition of the report, issued in October 2018, was limited to areas that received full-year appropriations in an earlier “minibus” funding bill (labor, health, human services, education, and energy). This edition covers those plus all remaining programs—including transportation, housing and community development, justice, homeland security, and environment—that received final funding last week.
