Summary
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced it is awarding initial funding of $605 million to state and local jurisdictions to support response efforts to COVID-19. In addition, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) released guidance to federal agencies on administrative relief for grant recipients, which will allow funds to be awarded more quickly and allow grantees to focus on critical response and services.
