Last week, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) opened the application process for the Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Program, a new $50 billion formula grant created by the reconciliation law (H.R. 1) to stabilize and transform rural health systems. States will receive funding over five years, but this is the only opportunity to apply. Applications are due November 5.
