In September, the House passed bipartisan legislation—Supporting America’s Children and Families Act (H.R. 9076)—that incorporates the text of two bills:
- Protecting America’s Children by Strengthening Families Act (Title I), which reauthorizes Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) and Child Welfare Services from fiscal year (FY) 2025 though FY 2029.
- Strengthening State and Tribal Child Support Enforcement Act (Title II), which grants tribes and contractors access to the same federal tax data as states for child support purposes.
