The VIP Series focuses on federal grant-in-aid programs in the FFIS database that are of most importance to states. While FFIS tracks more than 200 programs, the lion’s share of federal aid, almost 70% of total funding tracked by FFIS, is included here.
This edition of The VIP Series estimates the impact of the president’s proposed budget for federal fiscal year (FY) 2015. Of particular note, the president proposes to eliminate sequestration of mandatory programs beginning in FY 2015.
