Tracking Opioid Funding by State, FY 2023

Congress provided more than $3 billion in fiscal year (FY) 2023 to address the opioid crisis. Funding is widespread, but primarily concentrated in the departments of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Justice (DOJ). This Issue Brief provides details on the grants. It is accompanied by a spreadsheet that reports awards by state for each program for FYs 2016-2023.
