Remaining FY 2023 LIHEAP Funds Released

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently released the fourth round of fiscal year (FY) 2023 funding for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). States received an initial release of $4.5 billion in November 2022, $1 billion in February 2023, and $560 million in March 2023. With this final round of $15 million, HHS has provided states with their entire FY 2023 allocation. As a result of supplemental funding, overall funding for LIHEAP increased 56% to $6.1 billion in FY 2023.
