Top Takeaways from FY 2024 CR #2

The first fiscal year (FY) 2024 continuing resolution (CR) was set to expire today. Congress passed—and the president signed—a second CR (H.R. 6363) to keep the federal government running until early next year. The CR continues the provisions in the first one. However, it extends funding for some agencies through January 19 and others through February 2. It also includes a one-year extension of the 2018 farm bill. This brief highlights key provisions of the law. Table 1 shows annualized funding for selected grants under it.
