Top Takeaways from FY 2022 CR #2

The first fiscal year (FY) 2022 continuing resolution (CR) expired December 3. Congress passed—and the president signed—a second CR through February 18, 2022 (P.L. 117-70). This CR continues provisions in the first one and provides additional funding to support Afghanistan evacuees. However, the CR does not allow transportation funding to be provided at the higher funding levels in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).

This Budget Brief highlights key provisions of the CR. Table 1 shows annualized funding for selected grants under it.
