 Summary 

Final fiscal year (FY) 2020 appropriations for Interior-Environment and Energy-Water were included in P.L. 116-94. The explanatory statement that accompanies the Interior-Environment portion of the bill notes that unless specified otherwise, the language and allocations included in House Report 116-100 and Senate Report 116-123 indicate congressional intentions. Similarly, the explanatory statement for Energy-Water and related programs—including the Appalachian Regional Commission—indicates that language in House Report 116-83 and Senate Report 116-102 should be followed.

This brief summarizes funding and other provisions related to the Department of the Interior (DOI), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Department of Energy (DOE), the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), and the National Endowments for the Arts and Humanities.
