FY 2020 Appropriations Update: Transportation-Housing and Urban Development

The House has passed fiscal year (FY) 2020 appropriations for Transportation-Housing and Urban Development (T-HUD) (H.R. 3055), and the Senate appropriations committee has passed its version of the T-HUD bill (S. 2520). Much like other FY 2020 House appropriations bills, this bill stresses the importance of providing funding in persistent poverty counties, while the Senate bill does not. This brief summarizes funding and other provisions of interest to states related to transportation and housing in both measures.
