June 24, 2020 - Treasury Confirms Use of CRF for FEMA Match
An updated FAQ document confirms that states may use the CRF to meet their match requirement for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) assistance under the Stafford Act, assuming eligibility for Stafford Act funding has been determined.
A revised lender application form also was released.
Four federal agencies in conjunction with state bank and credit union regulators issued guidance to promote consistency and flexibility in the supervision and examination of financial institutions affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The department also reports that all tribal payments based on employment and expenditure data (other than payments to Alaska Native corporations) have been made. No payment amounts have been reported.

At least two cities or counties per state will be eligible to directly issue notes to the MLF regardless of population. Governors will also be able to designate two issuers whose revenues are generally derived from government activities (such as public transit, airports, toll facilities, and utilities) to be eligible to directly use the facility. The distribution of funds to local governments is among the issues addressed. Also, the CRF has been assigned a Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) number of 21.019.
