April 22, 2020 - EPA Issues Interim Final Rule on Emissions Reporting Requirements
EPA will allow for units to continue reporting actual monitored data if the unit is unable to complete certain tests due to complications related to COVID-19. Generally, units that fail to complete these tests on time are required to report substitute emissions data that are intentionally higher than actual amounts. The amendments apply to the Acid Rain Program, the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule, and the NOx SIP Call. The rule is effective April 22. Comments will be accepted through May 22.
